Horsetac
Vertical SaaS with AI
A digital logbook for harness racing stables: a daily log in 90 seconds, owner reports written for you, and answers from your own data.

01Context
Trainers in harness racing stables log every horse, every day, often with their hands full. Owners pay the bills and want to know how their horse is doing, and that information often lives in notebooks, memory and phone calls.
02Approach
Design for the stable floor: big tap targets instead of text fields, “copy from yesterday” and voice input. Let the software write the owner reports, and keep the AI on a short leash: it answers only from the stable’s own records, with sources, and never diagnoses.
03Product
A daily log that takes under 90 seconds per horse, owner reports in plain Danish, Swedish or Norwegian (as a link, a PDF or an email), document upload, and an “ask your data” assistant.
It installs on a phone like an app, in four languages.

04System
An assistant built on search over the stable’s own logs and documents, which always cites its sources. Unusual changes are flagged by fixed rules; the AI only words the alert. Every query is scoped to the stable it belongs to.
Built with Next.js · PostgreSQL · pgvector · Claude · PWA
05Outcome
The full first version is built and has been deployed.
Designed to bring daily logging under 90 seconds per horse, and to keep owners informed without extra work for the trainer.
